Hey all! This is a quickie post that was sitting in my draft stack. Here is an idea for “upscale” burlap DIY ornaments.
They are very easy-peasy! Cut 2 squares of burlap, sew together 3/4s (or more of the way around, stuff with fiberfill, sew last edge closed. Add a hanging loop at one corner and sew into the seam. If adding a tassel, place in the opposite corner from the hanging loop while you’re sewing the seam.
This is the time to use any scraps you have. Above is from a stenciling trial, below is from a coffee sack.
To glam up the burlap, add ribbon and add a vintage pin. Don’t ask me why all of the pins are off-center! Perfectly imperfect, I guess!
