This is a repost–my blog switchover has caused lots of aggravation. Lots. Apparently, my latest Valentine Candy Packet post got wiped out. This is going to be a recreation attempt.
Per Miss Mustard Seed’s recommendation, I bought a lifetime supply of brown “craft” paper. Actually, it is from a big-box home improvement store from the paint drop cloth section. I was going to use it to wrap Christmas gifts, but I found regular scotch tape wouldn’t work, and I was out of packing tape.
So, when life gives you lemons in the form of lots of craft paper–you (I) do what you (I) can to make some craft-paper lemonade! Scalloped circles were cut with my Big Shot.
Tim Holtz Valentine-themed stamps were used (He has several sets.). The background, a dictionary definition of “Love”; the Love ticket was then stamped, masked; and the white hearts were stamped on top.
Next, the edges were sewn around, then they were filled with treats (I preferred the m&ms, because the rounded edges were a little easier to deal with when sewing.).
A few were given out early to some Sweethearts. The Chicks took the remaining packets with them to school today.
